Found it very noisy at night. We booked for 2 nights B&B with 1 evening meal included. However when we went for our meal we found it was a special limited menu and not the normal restaurant menu.
The service and facilities were excellent and the food was fantastic. I was very impressed and look forward to a return visit
comfort of hotel and staff very friendly and helpful food great ideal location
The food in the bar was lovely and the staff were very helpful. Bbc1 and 2 did not work in the room. Someone came up to check it but never came back.
The location and the bar food, breakfast and the very comfortable bed
The complimentary tea and coffee brought to the room was lovely to warm you up on a cold, snowy day in Kilkenny!!
Central location. Nice old style building with traditional furniture. Traditional Bar & good food in the Hotel Restaurant.
Convenient to city centre, relaxed bar atmosphere with friendly staff, breakfast was lovely with a nice variety and the friendly staff.
The hotel was at times to hot. Pokey bathroom with no tea facilities and very little choice on the television, couldn't find the switch for light over dresser.
Very charming and cosy hotel and nice atmosphere. Excelent location in the centre of Kilkenny. Price ok and includes breakfast and car parking. Staff very kind and efficient. Restaurant and staff excelent. Greatest pub in the town. I expect to come back again.
Some noise till 2:00 but ok for me
Staff were very friendly and professional
I booked a Deluxe Twin Room and to be honest it was the size of a single room (Room 123). I travel a bit for work so I have the opportunity to stay in different hotels and there is no way that this room could have been a deluxe twin room. I did not ask to change the room because the hotel was fully booked so it would have been pointless. Deluxe Twin Room definitely not value for money.
Nice location if you're looking for a party night out, cute interior design and nice atmosphere, great pub in the hotel, clean rooms.
The staff was not as friendly as we had expected (they were Irish) and it was noisy from the pub downstairs, but earplugs can be a great help.
The room was excellent and the breakfast was very good, it was freshly cooked not like some places who have everything cooked in advance. the dining room staff were very nice and friendly, and we enjoyed the relaxing time at breakfast. nice bar also.
The only thing we did not like was there was no view from our room and the noise from the fan meant we couldnt open the window.
I liked its central location everything within walking distance, the bar food was excellent.
Because the cat laughs were on it was difficult to get any sleep till after four am
Location, also I was pleased with the breakfast
I had made my booking using the bookings.com website and booked a special offer deluxe room, however when I got there my room was not deluxe. I was given money off the 2 rooms as a result because they said that the booking hadnt come through as a deluxe room. I felt that this was fair however I was disappointed at the inefficiency as I was not pleased with my room,it was extrememly small.
Excellent location, extremely comfortable beds, lovely old world reception and public areas, staff very friendly
No tea/coffee making facilities in room, bedroom very small and stuffy, no shower cap with the bathroom toiletries. Bedroom definitely not 4 star standard!
